Handcrafted in Bayou La Batre
Our production is done in Bayou La Batre, the same place we source the best possible seafood the Gulf of Mexico has to offer. We make most every item–from our famous crab cakes to our stuffed shrimp–with my mother, Susan Taylor and late grandmother, Becky Nickels recipes. Both were born and raised in Bayou La Batre. Some of our recipes are 35 – 60 years old.
Domestic Wild-Caught Seafood
We use only domestic, wild-caught seafood sourced from fishermen who we are proud to call family and friends. Purchasing seafood from the people we trust most ensures that we know how our product is handled from the moment it’s caught in the nutrient-rich waters of the Gulf of Mexico until it’s on your table. This allows us to offer our customers the highest quality product with the freshest possible ingredients.
IQF / Flash Frozen is Fresher
Our products are flash frozen or IQF “Individually Quick Frozen” and never thawed before reaching the consumer. Most of our specialty products are meant to be cooked frozen and ready to serve in 30 – 60 minutes. The shelf life of the majority of our products, specialty and raw seafood, are a minimum of a year with a few being well over 4 months. They are great to have in the freezer at all times for a quick gourmet meal at home or to travel with.
